  23. <h3><a name="step1"></a>Step 1, setting min and max:</h3>
  24. The first thing you should do on this screen is set the min and max color values 
  25. your monitor displays. To set the max color value, more the slider under the top 
  26. box in "Step 1" as low as possible before you can tell a difference 
  27. between the bottom half of the box and the top half of the box. To set the min 
  28. color value, move the slider under the bottom box in "Step 1" as high 
  29. as possible before you can tell a difference between the bottom half of the box 
  30. and the top half of the box. <br>

  32. <h3><a name="step2"></a>Step 2, test patterns:</h3>
  33. After performing step 1, it is now time to calibrate all the midrange colors between 
  34. the min color you have chosen and the max color you have chosen in step 1. To 
  35. peform step 2, sit at least 2 feet from your monitor at normal view height. This 
  36. is especially important with LCD monitors as the colors change depending on your 
  37. viewing angle, so perform the tests sitting the same way you would normally view 
  38. your monitor. For each of the 7 boxes in "Step 2", adjust the slider 
  39. under each box until the small middle solid colored box matches the color of the 
  40. outter test pattern.<br>

  42. There are 3 tests run, one for each of the following: red, green, and blue. After 
  43. completing one test, click the "Continue" button to move to the next.<br>
